Through teaching, meditation, prayer, retreat, and community service, Land of Medicine Buddha engages in preserving and transmitting the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values, specifically in the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa.

Join us this Tuesday evening for the first in our six-part Discovering Buddhism series. These modules are a wonderful introduction to Tibetan Buddhism, and do not need to be taken in order. During this series, we will explore the concept of "emptiness", a commonly misunderstood idea in Buddhsim.

Join us at the Wisdom Center in downtown Santa Cruz for our series, "Buddhist Mind Science: Cultivating Lasting Happiness". This new course will be led by Elaine Jackson, and is great for beginners. This experiential course draws on insights from both Buddhist and scientific understandings of the mind, exploring how meditation and mind training can lead to greater well-being, lasting happiness, and a positive impact on oneself and the world.
