Welcome to York Parks Recreation The mission of the York Parks and Recreation Department YPRD is to promote health and wellness of families and the community in all of its diversity. The Parks division is responsible for the operations and maintenance of public buildings and grounds parks beaches recreation facilities and all athletic fields. The Recreation division offers a wide variety of comprehensive community enrichment programs popular camps and tremendously successful and well attended events for participants of all ages.
