Appalachian RC&D Council is a non-profit organization conserving natural resources and improving rural economies in Tennessee and beyond since 1994. The Appalachian RC&D Council was formed in 1993 to address unmet needs in rural Northeast Tennessee. Our membership is composed of county governments, soil conservation districts and at large members of the community. We work to address issues where there is no existing infrastructure to meet the challenge of improving rural economy while conserving natural resources.

Appalachian Resource Conservation and Development Council Hurricane Recovery for Farms The Resilient Farmer Fund is accepting donations. Your support will help our regional farming community rebuild from Hurricane Helene. We connect farmers gardeners food entrepreneurs and those who want to be with resources like training financing land and markets while preserving farmland supporting rural folk arts and promoting access to nutritious local foodsto foster healthy thriving and resilient communities.
