Iron Workers Local 397 813 6231515 Welcome To Iron Workers Local 397 Ironworkers Local 397 Union was chartered August of 1924 to provide skilled Ironworker Tradesmen to the Gulf Coast of Florida. We are proud to say we have been a part of building the skyline of Tampa and other cities in our jurisdiction. Apprenticeship and Journeyman Training Skilled Ironworkers are developed not born. The skill of the all around Journeyman Ironworker is not acquired by a few months on the job or merely by being in a place where the different job operations are being performed.

These in-person professional development courses are available as a benefit to ironworkers and contractor representatives.
