The Marion Alliance for Racial Equity was formed in June 2020. We exist to elevate the voices and experiences of people of color in Marion, Iowa; we aim to create a culture in Marion that is welcoming and inclusive for all people. Marion Alliance for Racial Equity (MARE) is organized to address racial inequities and injustices in Marion, Iowa and to support such efforts in surrounding communities. MARE exists to raise awareness about the realities and experiences of people of color in Marion, Iowa and to work for greater equity and understanding.
