HIGH COUNTRY BASSET HOUND RESCUE & ADOPTION SERVICE INC
The mission of High Country Basset Hound Rescue & Adoption Service, Inc. is to educate the communities of Colorado about our role in the community to rescue displaced and abandoned Basset Hounds. This effort is necessary in reducing the overpopulation of pet animals by way of promoting neutering and spaying of existing pets during our placement activities. In support of this objective we will neuter and spay every dog that comes through our system for placement as well as bring all vaccinations current to meet state regulations. Through our adoption process we will match to the best of our ability each dog with an appropriate family to ensure long-term commitment to the adoption. Working directly with shelters, veterinary clinics and other agencies we will present an alternative to unnecessary euthanasia and support their efforts in placing Basset Hounds by promoting their services ahead of our own until it becomes necessary to bring these Basset Hounds into our system.
