Leaving ALS better than we found it #ONWARD #LiveLikeLou Leaving ALS better than we found it When faced with a terminal illness, Lou Gehrig continued to live his life with courage, humility, and gratitude. It is with this in mind that the LiveLikeLou Foundation was established and we set out to leave ALS better than we found it. Our mission is three-fold: 1) Raise awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease. 2) Support those living with ALS and their families. 3) Invest in ALS research to fund treatments or a cure. And we do it for Lou and the thousands of individuals diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Lou was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at Columbia University and in his memory, Phi Delta Theta members – both undergraduate and alumni – are committed to this cause and LiveLikeLou’s efforts.
