**10 NEW WUCA & GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS!** Ricardo Paván from Mexico City and Raúl Villalba from Buenos Aires came together with a clear purpose on a cold morning in Sebring, Florida in March – to set multiple world records in 24 hours and to raise the voice of inclusion in sports for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Last year, inclement weather had forced them to abandon their record attempt, but this time neither strong winds during the day or the bitter cold at night could stop them. Raúl, a cyclist with a visual impairment, and Ricardo, president of the Growing for Inclusion foundation, set an incredible 10 new WUCA and Guinness World Records on their tandem bike. They completed 407.57 miles/655.93km in their 24-hour ride around the 3.6-mile circuit at Sebring. The three timed records – 6/12/24-hour – and seven distance records – 100/200/300/500km and 100/200/300 miles – are an incredible testament to their ability to overcome adversity and come out winning. Riding a tandem bike requires a special connection, a synchronization of body and soul that is characterised by mutual support. Working together, and with the additional help of their team, they showed that when the right support is provided, people with disabilities can achieve the seemingly impossible. ** 6 &12 HR NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONS ** The contenders at Calvin’s Challenge last weekend battled a barrage of strong winds throughout the event but it didn’t stop them from achieving fantastic results. We have four new WUCA Champions to celebrate! Congratulations to Chris Stephens and Kari Obermeyer, our 2025 12hr North American Champions. Chris topped the leaderboard with 278.11 miles over 12 hours, and Kari led the female category with 202.6 miles. Congratulations also to our new 6hr North American Champions – Ryan Collins and Loretta Holmes. Ryan completed 150.86 miles in 6 hours to earn himself that championship jersey, while Loretta reached 101.26 miles to take the champion title.
