Refuge Armona
Refuge Youth is a spot where you can be yourself and learn what it looks like to be a game changer in in our community! Refuge House is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3-6pm. Refuge open gym is 1st and 3rd Thursdays 6pm @ PV gym. The community of Armona consists of 95% socioeconomically disadvantaged youth. Many children have families who are either working long hours in the fields or in factories trying their best to provide for their families, while others are involved in drugs, alcohol, or gang activity. This leaves many youth at home alone left to care for themselves, younger siblings, and/or walking the streets until the evening. The purpose of Refuge House is to provide a safe place for youth to spend time after school, receive homework help, and gain mentorship through caring adult volunteers. Our vision for Refuge Armona is to provide hope and transform a generation of young men and women to recognize their God given purpose, and to become leaders in their community and beyond.
