Pullman Tech Workshop is a historic trades workforce training non-profit located in Historic Pullman Pullman Tech Workshop invests in Chicago’s South Side by educating and inspiring the next generation of historic trades workers through advanced workforce training, participant-led workshops, and transitional employment. We prioritize preservation without gentrification, empowering residents to rebuild their community while addressing systemic disinvestment. By fostering a trauma-informed, healing-centered environment, we help individuals recognize their talents and potential. Through partnerships, we meet participants’ multifaceted needs, strengthen social cohesion, and create pathways for equitable access to resources. Guided by lived experiences, we celebrate the heritage of Pullman and advance sustainable, community-driven preservation.
