Senior Spotlight Interviews: Celebrating the Class of 2025! We’re thrilled to launch a new weekly series sharing some of our seniors’ favorite memories and their plans after graduation. This week, meet Lahiri Paolella! Born in Calabria, Italy, Lahiri talks about how Pinewood’s supportive community helped him grow into a confident and outgoing individual! "Pinewood made me more confident and social. The tight-knit community helped me adjust quickly and feel welcome. It encouraged me to be more extroverted and made it easy to make friends, which I had feared before coming here." Lahiri will be studying political science and international relations at the University of Rochester this fall. Outside school, he loves playing bass and is passionate about music. Voices for Peace: Creativity Meets Global Awareness! Our students recently participated in the international Never Such Innocence Creative Arts Competition, responding to the question: “How can we prevent future wars?” Through powerful poetry, music, visual art, and speeches, they explored the realities of conflict and the hope for peace. What they created was deeply thoughtful and emotionally honest — a window into how young people see the world and their role in shaping it. At Pinewood, we believe education should help students connect with the world, question it, and express their place in it. This experience did just that.
