Training, Education, and Mediation for Students To provide education supports through advocacy for students that have unique learning needs, mental health, physical, cognitive disabilities, homeless, and or students that may be considered highly at risk of becoming involved in the court system. T.E.A.M.S. provides supports by attending schools meetings: (Individual Education Plan (IEP), 504 (IAP), Behavior Plan/Positive Behaviors Supports, Hearings, Inter-agency Service Coordination meetings (ISC) and/or court proceedings. T.E.A.M.S. works with many different types of professionals throughout the system. By attending meetings, T.E.A.M.S provides training and empowerment to parent/guardian and professionals, to effectively advocate for the student. T.E.A.M.S works closely with the school system to better mediate on the student’s behalf. T.E.A.M.S. ultimate goal is prevention by keeping the student in class to better ensure that the student finishes school. The only way to break the poverty cycle is through education.
