Nurturing homeless and addicted women to enable themselves to achieve better lives free from addiction drives our mission. Mending Hearts is a licensed full continuum of care specializing in integrated co-occurring disorder treatment with the focus on stabilization. Mending Hearts serves nearly 400 women annually and our outreach spreads across 95 counties and into other states. Currently, Mending Hearts has a bed capacity to serve 110 women.

Home Who We Are Mending Hearts was founded by Katrina Frierson in 2004. Katrina overcame her own personal struggles with addiction and homelessness and realized the need for an inclusive recovery program to serve women with similar circumstances. What We Do Mending Hearts is a recoverybased therapeutic community for women facing addiction and cooccurring mental health disorders. Our facility is located in West Nashville and currently offers housing and treatment to 110 women.

July at Mending Hearts, held joy, reflection, unity. Our team and clients spent the day at Nashville Shores for Day of Unity, celebrated our Mending Rainbows moms with photo sessions on campus, showed up for outreach fairs, and honored Women Touched by Addiction Day alongside other recovery programs. In between it all were the everyday moments that make this community what it is.
