Promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual & developmental disabilities at local, state, & national levels. Mission: To promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the communities of the Pikes Peak Region throughout their lifetimes. The Arc of the Pikes Peak Region provides advocacy services, guardianship services, educational opportunities and social opportunities for and on behalf of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc started in 1955 and has been providing valuable supports to people with disabilities and their families in El Paso, Park and Teller Counties of Colorado. The Arc's mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the communities of the Pikes Peak region throughout their lifetimes.
