Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls
Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls (HFHWF) is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that works in partnership with God's people in need to build or renovate decent affordable houses. Habitat sells the house to the families at no profit and no interest. The families are also required to partner with HfHWF and invest 300 hours of sweat equity on Habitat houses or other projects. The sweat equity program is designed so that each family must help another family work on their house and build a sense of community. HfHWF has built nine houses in the In-fill area on abandoned lots in east Wichita Falls. By concentrating on this area we are able to benefit the east side community as well as the new Habitat homeowner family.
