The Foundation develops, preserves and supports music and the arts through the youth of the Greater Houston/Gulf Coast Area. The Conrad O. Johnson Music & Fine Arts Foundation was established because its founders believed that a structured exposure to music and the arts offered a methodology to potentially enable our children of today to develop the life skills necessary to become well-rounded leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, the Conrad O. Johnson Music and Fine Arts Foundation was created to nurture and mentor our youth in the Greater Houston area through music and the arts; to promote self-esteem, self-worth and increased decision making skills through music, particularly, through the only true original American art form, jazz, with focus on the discipline of improvisation to assist students to achieve their life goals.
