We are an all-volunteer group that provides women & girls with access to education and training. Soroptimist Raleigh is a local club of Soroptimist International. Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. The name, Soroptimist, means “best for women,” and that’s what the organization strives to achieve. We have two core programs. 1) The Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women assist women who provide the primary financial support for their families. Since 1989, Soroptimist Raleigh has granted over $89,000 to women in our local communities. 2) Dream It, Be It. Raleigh Soroptimists help teen girls by providing the tools they need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty, violence, and abuse.
