Sun Valley ID August 14 16 2025 Maple Grove MN June 09 2025 Benefiting cancer research since 1977 Every August since the summer of 1977 the KillebrewThompson Memorial in Sun Valley Idaho has gathered hundreds of individuals including celebrities members of Congress professional athletes corporate sponsors participants and volunteers around one common goal FIND A CURE FOR CANCER. The tournament was founded by Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew and Congressman Ralph Harding in memory of the Minnesota Twins shortstop Danny Thompson who died of leukemia at the young age of 29. Through their hard work and the dedication of their supporters the KTM is now considered one of the leading cancer research fundraisers of its kind. Donor Impact Events The KillebrewThompson Memorial raises money for cancer research through annual fundraising events.
