The Construction is Finished! After three years of dedication and hard work, we are thrilled to announce that the sanctuary is officially completed! Back in April 2021, we embarked on this journey when we closed on our beautiful 52-acre property in Tehachapi. Since then, our vision has come to life, and the sanctuary now stands as a testament to our commitment to providing a safe and enriching environment for our equine residents. What We’ve Achieved • Total Area Fenced: All 52 acres have been fully enclosed with strong and durable pipe and wire fencing, ensuring that the sanctuary is secure and safe for our residents. • Stalls and Shelter: We have built 49 fully enclosed 24 x 24 stalls and added 6 run-in stalls. Additionally, the property already included 2 run-ins and one smaller enclosed stall. This brings us to a total of 58 stalls, providing ample shelter for our 125 sanctuary residents. • Access to Paddocks: Every stall opens to expansive paddocks, and the horses have 24/7 access to these areas, offering them the freedom to roam and socialize. In addition to the carefully designed stalls, we have left one sizable paddock—approximately 10 acres—free of structures. Our hope is to allow groups of horses to graze there on the lush spring grasses, reconnecting with their natural instincts and enjoying the open space. This completion marks an extraordinary milestone in our mission to offer a sanctuary that prioritizes the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.
