We believe in the power of music education. #EquityInMusicEducation #MusicEducationIsForEveryone Make Waves exists to support equity in music education for students and their teachers. We believe that every child should have access to music education with a skilled, engaging teacher and musical role model. As such, we aim to breathe new life into existing music programs which were designed to reach communities with gaps in educational services, while creating new opportunities for learning and representation. We provide this support through funding private music lessons, supplying musical instruments, engaging in community outreach, engaging in and encouraging diverse hiring practices, and amplifying musical opportunities for underrepresented communities.
