Join us next week for a lecture - Listening to the History of the Preserve May 27, 2025 | Mustang Library Explore the history of the Preserve through the voices of the citizens, stewards, scientists and political leaders who collaboratively built the movement that led to the Conservancy. The presentation will share short curated clips of oral histories collected by Arizona State University students, placing them in the context of the social and cultural context of the late twentieth century. We will learn that the roots of the Conservancy run more deeply and broadly than we might expect. In curating these clips, ASU-based historian Mark Tebeau will also reveal how digital technologies are changing the work of historians in universities, museums and libraries. Sign up below to receive event reminders and more information. https://www.mcdowellsonoran.org/event/lecture-listening-to-the-history-of-the-preserve/ (fb)
