Theory of Change Organizational Support Coaching Professional Development Enhanced Teacher Quality Classroom Instruction Increased Teacher Capacity Improved Student Outcomes posits that instructional coaches are critical to helping teachers build their capacity and change their instructional practice in ways that will improve student outcomes. To be successful coaches need skillful mentoring and both coaches and mentors need multiple ongoing collaborative professional learning opportunities in order to support teachers and promote state standards which are recognized as essential to improving student outcomes. TPIIC will collaborate with schools systems to design programs and services to meet these needs. The TPIIC programs of study will focus on career and college readiness for the 21st century by helping teachers to develop and refine the skills that will improve instructional practice academic outcomes and increase student engagement.
