Families Involved Serving Humanity

100% of tax-deductible donations go to meet the needs of 3000+ impoverished folks, providing educational, medical, emergency and pastoral assistance in the Islands of Lake Nicaragua. Families Involved ServingHumanity, Inc. was incorporated and became a 501(c)(3) in 1994. Now, under the direction of Nicaraguan Pastors/Directors Walther & Zayda Zambrana: a rural health center built in 1994 and staffed with a Nicaraguan doctor and nurse addresses some medical needs; 4 rural schools with 25 Nicaraguan teachers provide educational opportunities; sheets of roofing tin and food/clothing/etc. are provided to those in need; a church has been established where lives have been transformed through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & Bible Study.  School supplies and uniforms are provided to 570 needy children so they may attend school.  Scholarships are provided to needy students for vocational training.  Prescription medicines are provided to ages 15 and under.   Since 1993 the results are incredible among the Islands people. Many lives have been transformed! Whole families now have their children in school, better health, vocational opportunities and the hope of eternal life. Over 400 families have received roofing tin and have a dry place to sleep. Founders/Directors, the Barkers receive no monetary compensation whatsoever for their involvement in F.I.S.H. They have been and will continue to be VOLUNTEERS! Sandy continues to raise funds for the continuing work of FISH and keeps the books for the IRS so that your much appreciated gift will be tax-deductible.
