We're a small, private, inner-city, faith-based, alternative high school for struggling students. Since 1985, the Denver Street School has offered struggling students a second chance to earn a high school diploma. We believe that every student deserves a quality education and the chance to become a productive citizen. We accept students who have struggled with, dropped out of, or been expelled from other schools knowing that given support and the right environment they can go on to a promising future.

Who We Are DSS Difference The Denver Street School is a faithbased private secondary school serving the Metro Denver innercity community. Located in Lakewood were a beacon of hope for struggling students whove been unable to find their place in traditional high schools. More than just an educational institution its a place where they can discover the love of Jesus and find motivation to build a better future for themselves.

The DSS Team spent the last couple of days in fellowship, worship, devotion, prayer, and planning. Our hearts are full and we are ready to greet the students on Monday morning for the start of the 2025/26 school year. So excited to see how God works through DSS this year.
