THE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS: The courtyard will be regraded to move water flow away from the structure to protect against moisture. Work is beginning to install drainage systems to better manage the water. The project is under the direction of Conron & Woods Architects, the engineering by Abeyta Engineering, Inc. and the excavation by Silva's Excavation, Inc. Come by and see for yourself the progress in the ongoing work to protect this historic property. (fb)

We’re excited to share that our Board of Directors President, Martin Jagers, is featured on this week’s episode of Voices of Taos! In this conversation with Geoffrey Plant, Martin reflects on the complex legacy of Kit Carson, the broader story of Western colonization, and the Carson House and Museum’s ongoing efforts to build more immersive and inclusive interpretation of the site’s history. Thank you to Voices of Taos and the NCRTD Blue Bus for helping us share this important story.
