Association of Childrens Librarians of Northern California
@ACLInstitute ACL was founded in the 1930s by a group of public and school librarians. Members meet monthly to review books for young people and discuss related issues. ACL is a bunch of Bay Area children's librarians who meet monthly to review new children's books, as well as putting on a yearly Institute focused on a theme in relation to library service to children. Book reviews are compiled each month and emailed to members to aid in the purchasing decisions for their library systems. We also host a yearly Performer's Showcase to help librarians choose performers for their individual library locations.
