Spirit Awakening Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) charitable arts organization dedicated to assisting underserved youth and children in the juvenile justice system. Spirit Awakening Foundation (SAF) is a nonprofit, arts organization dedicated to helping underserved youth, children in the juvenile justice system and other systems-impacted young people realize their authentic identity, value and self-worth. SAF offers meditation, creative arts, mentoring, and leadership training, all of which addresses the internalized racism that produces self-hatred and low self-esteem stemming from structures that oppress and harm many youth and communities of color. Through its innovatively designed creative arts programs that heal and transform from the inside out, SAF accomplishes its mission to help underserved youth build character and raise self-esteem, one child at a time.
