KAS Home Welcome to Kitsap Aviation Squadron Kitsap Aviation Squadron was formed by several local pilots around one airplane in 1956 making it one of the oldest continuously operating flying clubs in the United States. Today we enjoy two wellmaintained 4 place Cessnas. The club was organized to provide safe and dependable aircraft to allow sharing the high costs of aircraft ownership and to promote camaraderie amongst people who have a common interest in recreational aviation. The Squadron continues to operate in the same manner today as evidenced by a low initiation fee and monthly dues.
