At our Crotona supportive housing residence, residents and staff came together to honor motherhood in all its forms. As we listened to each story, we were reminded that Mother’s Day looks different for everyone. “Mother’s Day is every day,” said Yanira, whose children always remind her how loved she is. “My children are living down south, and I miss their touch,” shared Serena, a reflection of the longing that can come during moments of celebration. “Motherhood is challenging, but it is also rewarding,” said Shana, our Clinical Supervisor and mom of two young children. Her words speak to the resilience and love that define so many mothers' experiences.
