Home | Gennisi Charities Everyone Deserves a Doula. Doulas are nonmedical professionals who provide emotional physical and educational support during pregnancy birth and postpartum. Mission Statement We will provide free and lowcost education resources and support surrounding pregnancy birth and postpartum services to families in need with a targeted focus on minority lowincome and underserved members of our Knoxville and East Tennessee community. We strive to reduce the infant and maternal mortality rate within the minority lowincome and underserved members of this community and to raise awareness and implement structures to increase successful birth outcomes.
