THE ORG DISSEMINATES FINDINGS NOT ONLY THROUGH MEDICAL AND ACADEMIC CHANNELS, BUT ALSO THROUGH TRADITIONAL NEWS MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA, TO ENSURE THAT NOVEL FINDINGS ARE TRANSLATED INTO PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS THAT AFFECT WOMEN'S HEALTH TODAY.

Foundation for Women's Health The need is now. Changing the landscape of womens health The Foundation for Womens Health identifiesthe gaps in rigorous research ofwomenshealthand then funds the most promising studies to fill those holes prioritizing upstreamhealthinnovations for adolescent girls and youngwomen. We look at the funding landscapeholistically across the entire continuum of the female life cycle toidentifywhere funding opportunities do not currently exist so that we can strategically and efficiently fill the holes in research and achieve gender equity inhealth. Women were categorically excluded from clinical research trials in the United States until 1993 when the NIH Revitalization Act became federal law requiring women and minorities to be included as subjects of health research.
