Maryland just became the 6th state to pass an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) law for packaging — including beverage containers. Under SB 901, producers will help fund recycling programs and be encouraged to choose recyclable, reusable, and compostable materials. Glass Recycling Foundation The Glass Recycling Foundation GRF is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed to provide and raise funds for localized and targeted assistance demonstration and pilot projects that address gaps in the glass recycling supply chain across the United States. Our Vision To increase recycling through education and best practices to ensure the highest benefit for communities and the environment. Our Mission Our Mission To promote the preservation of the environment through glass recycling through education grant making and creating pilot programs for effective glass recycling working in collaboration with other trade organizations in the glass recycling value chain 2023 Impact Report The GRF released its 2023 impact report highlighting nearly 150000 in grants that supported projects diverting almost 1660 tons or 3. 3 million pounds of glass from landfills.
