Florida Lions Eye Bank, Inc.
Florida Lions Eye Bank was founded in 1961 by the Lions' Clubs and The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to fill several critical eye-related needs, including: 1) donor eye tissue for sight-restoring transplant surgery; 2) scleral tissue for various ocular surgeries; 3) an ocular pathology laboratory; and 4) continuing research and education.
