SUB-CARPATHIA GENEALOGY INC
Jewish vital, census and other records from former Hungarian megyek (counties) of Bereg, Máramaros, Ugocsa and Ung, and Czechoslovakia (Podkarpatská Rus'). Sub-Carpathia Genealogy's project of transcribing the vital civil records, census records and Holocaust records of the Jewish communities of Sub-Carpathia Ukraine. These previously elusive records have been unlocked and made available to all researchers whose roots are in the former Hungarian megyk (counties) of Bereg, Mramaros, Ugocsa and Ung and the Czechoslovak territory of Podkarpatsk Rus' (Subcarpathia Ruthenia), allowing them to trace their family histories and lineage as far back as the mid-19th centuryor earlier. This is a major and comprehensive undertaking and, as these records become available, more and more of our ancestors will once again find their places on our family trees and on the family tree of the Jewish people.
