HFCC supports psychosocial programs specifically dealing with the needs & issues faced by pediatric cancer patients & their families. Raising awareness of emotional issues faced dealing with cancer & assisting or advising hospitals and pediatric cancer centers in the development and implementation of "family-friendly" cancer programs and treatment environments * working together with schools, businesses, hospital personnel & other charities to, providing education & resources for kids battling cancer & encourage social support for these patients and their siblings during and post-treatment * Raising public awareness of the social and emotional impact of pediatric cancer on the local community beyond simply the affected families with social media campaigns & partnerships with other groups
