Non-profit museum located on the former Dyersburg Army Air Base in Halls, TN., preserving the artifacts of United States Veterans in peacetime and in war. We are closed on the first Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Veterans' Museum in Halls, Tennessee (population 2,162 located 65 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee along U.S. Highway 51) is owned and operated by The Dyersburg Army Air Base Memorial Association, Inc., a non-profit organizationfounded in 1992 by local residents Patricia Higdon and Martha Crites. The mission of the Museum is to honor veterans, collect, preserve and protect the artifacts placed in its care, foster patriotism, instill appreciation for military services and educate present and future generations about the role of the Dyersburg Army Air Base during World War II and the lasting effect it hadon surrounding towns and communities.
