Ash & Elm Dance Co. is a non-profit contemporary based professional dance company in Virginia Nature doesn’t try to impress us with its beauty. It just is, and it’s beautiful. That’s what we strive for in our art: a natural sense of beauty, beauty that comes from honest expression and movement. We are both mothers and see this natural sense of beauty in watching our girls grow and discover their own honest personalities, without fear of judgement or preconceived notions of who they should be. They inspire us to create, move and learn. We enjoy exploring storytelling through dance, and aim to leave the audience feeling more than just entertained. We hope they feel inspired to move, discover, and learn more about the possibilities that lie within each of us. We strive to share that art with our community as well as provide opportunities for others to share their art.
