We need your help! Two year old Rhaenyra's medical case is intricate and we urgently need your support to ensure she receives the best care possible. Back in November 2024 she presented with URI which we treated, it went away but then returned with additional symptoms of head tilt, no appetite, loss of balance, and lethargy. We’ve run multiple CBC chem panels, respiratory PCRs and even thought FIP. We started our FIP protocol with no improvement. We tried doxycycline thinking infection of unknown origin and no improvement. She had good days and bad days but we were seeing more bad days than good. In May she saw a neurologist and the Doctor felt the vestibular issues we were seeing could be a middle ear infection. At that time our conservative plan was to treat with a steroid and two antibiotics. We have seen no improvement. Tomorrow, June 3rd, we will be taking Rhaenyra back to the Veterinary Specialty Center to consult with her neurologist. She will undergo a sedated MRI and a spinal tap, procedures that are exceedingly costly but absolutely necessary for her recovery. The estimated cost for these procedures is $6,660.76.
