The Science & Engineering Fair of Houston serves as one of the largest regional science fairs in the country. SEFH's mission is to be an academic program that attracts, retains and inspires students to become career minded about STEM fields and make key connections for workforce solutions. Since 1958, over 400,000 students have been served by SEFH which offers a unique educational platform to participating students through three different venues that encompass a science fair project, technical writing contest, and STEM poster competition. SEFH provides a beneficial science education experience for junior and senior high school students in grades 6-12 who present their scientific research to over 500 industry judges within 17 competition categories.
