Friends, this week we look at the second half of John chapter 14 (verses 15-31). In this passage, I see that Jesus alternates between three interrelated themes: *Love and Obedience *The Promised Spirit *Comfort in Loss and Fear As you meditate on this beautiful and instructive passage, here are some questions that may be helpful: What motivates your obedience? What aspect of Jesus’ ministry--from this passage or others--do you most need? What comfort do you need and why? What are areas of your life in which Jesus' words and the work of the Spirit could comfort and assure you? (fb)
