The Lagotto Romagnolo Foundation, Inc. is a US-based 501 (c)(3) that supports breed health research, education and responsible breeding practices. We are Committed to protecting the health and longevity of the Lagotto Romagnolo through education and scientific research. We are excited that the Lagotto has been gaining popularity. But, we want the breed to remain the wonderful companions and working dogs that we have grown to adore, while ensuring they continue to be healthy and long-lived members of our families – and yours! Our emphasis is to: Support research into causes & cures for genetic diseases. Establish a database where every breeder can register & prospective owners can look up health test results for dogs. Provide education to breeders and potential puppy owners to sustain and improve the health of the breed.
