Tallahassee Museum features a natural habitat zoo, historic buildings, and scenic grounds that provide hands-on learning and entertainment for all ages! Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science was established in 1957. Established in 1957, the Tallahassee Museum encourages people to reach their full potential and contribute to a better sense of community, purpose, and place by inspiring them to care for their natural world and value the role of history in their lives. Educational exhibits, programs, and publications highlight the relationships between the region's history, culture, and natural environment and encourage people to make become wise stewards of their natural and historical resources. Additionally, the Museum serves as a public trust for the collection, preservation, and conservation of the region's historic artifacts and buildings (primarily from the 1800s forward), natural science specimens, and native wildlife that are at risk in a region and state facing rapid development and growth.
