Median Foundation d/b/a Median Group is an educational organization formed for the purpose of conducting and sponsoring research with respect to significant issues of importance to the public, particularly with respect to scientific and historical research, in order to create a shared knowledge for the common benefit of all. The Foundation focuses much of its research on identifying and assessing global catastrophic risks and the potential to mitigate or avert these risks.

Home - Median Group The Median Group formed in early 2018 is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated toresearch on global catastrophic risks. Our focus is on technological andgeopolitical changes over the next century and our aim is to model what suchchanges may look like and how their most detrimental effects might be mitigatedor averted. Current research efforts include models of past and future progressin AI presented at the Center for HumanCompatibleAI and of the impact climate change will have onglobal social and politicaldynamics.
