We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of basset hounds. North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Inc. is organized for the following purposes:1. Prevent cruelty to animals, specifically basset hounds; 2. Support animal welfare by locating and retrieving homeless, unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; 3. Provide necessary funding for medical care, spaying and neutering, for unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; and 4. Place homeless, unwanted, and or mistreated canine basset hounds in permanent, loving homes.

We are in the countdown to dog #2000 - this is Scooter 1991. This sweet 5 yr old is not quite sure what is going on - Dad had to give him up due to some health issues in the home and he was the only Dad he ever knew. Scooter was very loved and we are sure he will be happy in a new home soon.
