Sustainable Horsemanship
SH is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit, working to support the equestrian industry & increase public access to green spaces in the NRV & DMV areas of VA Sustainable Horsemanship (SH) is organized to promote social welfare central to Southwest Virginia, and fosters an international community of innovative and environmentally responsible leaders in the horse industry, through innovative educational programming. SH programs are designed to facilitate increased access to the equine industry, and increased public access to green spaces. With a focus on providing education to new and future horse owners, internship, volunteer, and mentor opportunities, SH contributes to solutions for the equine homelessness epidemic. SH connects communities to resources and training programs (with a concentration on the specific needs of the American Mustang, OTTBs, and the American Quarter Horse) and works to strengthen industry economic development.
