Terry Home, A Non-Profit Corporation
When a young family member survived a traumatic brain injury in 1984, we discovered there were no facilities in our area where these people could live. The only alternatives were geriatric nursing homes. After twelve years of fundraising, blood, sweat and tears, Terry Home was built and then opened in 1996. The first home is located in Pacific, WA and is a ten-bed boarding home for young adults who have survived a traumatic brain injury. Our second home opened in 2013 in Auburn, WA for 12 more young adults who have survived a TBI (4 of these beds have been set aside for veterans.). Terry Home is a place where they can continue to work toward a more independent lifestyle. Our mission is to promote purpose, privacy, and independence for each resident in a comfortable home-like atmosphere.
