THE MISSION OF THE BROOKLINE FRIENDS OF PERFORMING ARTS (FOPA) IS TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT AT BROOKLINE HIGH SCHOOL (BHS) THROUGH: FUNDRAISING AND GRANTMAKING FOR NEEDS AND ASPIRATIONS IDENTIFIED BY THE BHS PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT FACULTY AND LEADERSHIP; INCREASING VISIBILITY OF THE PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION AT BHS AND ITS ROLE IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF BROOKLINE THROUGH OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATION; AND STRENGHTENING COMMUNITY THROUGH VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT.
