Karar Dance Company exists to provide professional modern dance performance, education, and development opportunities to audiences and artists locally, nationally, and internationally. The organization investigates the complexity of human emotion and experience through the choreographic work of Kara Robertson. Karar’s work extends beyond the stage, educating young dancers through classes, workshops, and intensives, and providing them direct access to working dance professionals within the field of dance in interview and panel discussions. Karar encourages and uplifts the development of modern dance choreographers at various stages in their career through the Homegrown Choreographers program, cultivating dialogue, connection, and mentorship.
