Companion Homestead is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Rochester, MN and our mission is to help support shelter dogs to end the cycle of returns. Our mission to end the cycle of returns involves not only providing support and services to shelter dogs, but to provide an alternative home to those that cannot thrive in a traditional home setting. That is where our Sanctuary comes in! By 2027, we will have a Sanctuary for dogs to call home. The residents of our Sanctuary will be pups that are considered unadoptable. They will have a variety of different reasons that they have been deemed this; whether for behavioral reasons, medical reasons, or past histories that prevent them from flourishing in a typical home. Our sanctuary will give dogs a place to succeed. To be loved. To call home.
