At CAPSTC our mission is to provide crisis support services to Thurston County WA First Responders as well as onscene supportemergency assistance for members of the community. At the direction of First Responders a cadre of specially trained volunteer Chaplains provide critical incident stress management support as well as grief and trauma care crisis response and presence emotional support and spiritual encouragement as requested and appropriate.

The 2nd quarter data reflects another record number of Chaplain callouts, a 19% increase over 1st quarter 2025, and a 31% increase over 2nd quarter 2024. The need for CAPS-TC chaplains continues to grow. Thurston County TCOMM tracks our CAPS-TC incident calls.
